Active Learning sits in the heart of the Coventry Way of teaching and learning, alongside our three other principles - Social, Inclusive and Applied.
Active Learning comes in various approaches and strategies that can be implemented in face to face and online environments, is informed by a wide range of pedagogies and can be applied in all contexts.
In Coventry University Group, we have established a satellite group for the Active Learning Network.
Within our Active Learning Community of Practice, we discuss about our experiences, and the challenges we face. We learn from each other, but we also invite external guest speakers.
Consider joining the Active Learning CoP if:
- you are passionate about Active Learning
- you would like to explore ways to make your teaching more active and get your students more engaged
- you like to experiment in the classroom and get involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)
- you have tried some amazing active learning approaches you would like to share with others.
If one of the above applies to you, then we would like to welcome you to the Active Learning CoP. Please complete the sign-up form.
If you have any questions or you would like to contribute as a guest speaker, contact the Satellite Group Lead: Dr Christina Magkoufopoulou, SFHEA.
Everyone is welcome, no matter their level of experience with active learning or their role.
Available only for colleagues within Coventry University Group.
