At Coventry University Group, our provision of Academic Professional Development activities comes in a wide range of forms and includes opportunities for Exploration, Participation and Sharing reinforced by Reflection on individuals’ practice and learning.

  • Explore – engaging with resources and guidance.
  • Participate – actively engaging in workshops, courses or training activities.
  • Share – engaging through networks, communities, or conferences to share practice, knowledge, and experiences
  • Reflect – evaluating the impact of engagement to professional development activities and identifying further actions.

The below table demonstrates possible activities that constitute academic development activities. It also shows how the four types of academic development opportunities (Explore, Participate, Share and Reflect) are intertwined.
