Early career academics, staff with substantive T&L responsibilities, experienced HPLs.
(e.g. Module leaders – those whose main focus is the class room)
The route you go down really depends on the amount of experience you have had teaching in Higher Education, within the UK or elsewhere in the world.
For new staff joining the University Group with less than five years full time teaching experience in Higher Education, if you do not already hold a PGCAPHE or equivalent and you are on a teaching contract, you will be required to complete the PGCAPHE or PGCAPP. On successfully completing this qualification, which takes about eighteen months you will automatically become a Fellow of Advance HE.
Descriptor D2 - Fellow
D2 is suitable for individuals, whose practice with learners has breadth and depth, enabling them to evidence all Dimensions. Effectiveness of practice in teaching and/or support of high-quality learning.
Fellowship is the appropriate category of fellowship to professionally recognise individuals from a wide variety of different contexts whose practice with learners has ‘breadth and depth’, enabling them to evidence all PSF 2023 Dimensions.
