With a move to block teaching across the Group, we will be having a monthly book club to support colleagues and create a space for sharing practices, views and experiences. To facilitate our discussions, we will be reading and discussing the "Block Teaching Essentials: a Practical Guide" book edited by John Weldon and Lorreta Konjarski. The book is free to access online via Locate.
It is recommended that colleagues read the allocated chapter in advance of the meeting. However, if you haven't had a chance to read the chapter, you are still very much welcome as we would like to hear your experience and views on the subject. In order to better support colleagues with the transition to block teaching, we have selected the most relevant chapters. However, feel free to explore on your own time and bring into discussions your views on Chapter 1: What is the Block? and Chapter 2: Adopting the Block. History and Global Context
